Sixth Grade Classes

Welcome to 6K!

Hello! My name is Renee Kelly.

I graduated from Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and have earned a Master's of Science in Education degree from Western Illinois University.

Sixth grade is a big year with lots of changes and growth. We look at mistakes more as ways to learn, we strive to instill study skills, problem-solving, ownership for grades and actions along with confidence and kindness.

I feel very lucky to teach sixth grade math and reading at Seton with such an amazing staff of teachers and a wonderful administration.  I look forward to working with you this year.  Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns regarding your child's education at rkelly@setonschool.com

Welcome to 6T!

We expect this year to be fun and profitable for all. Sixth grade is a big year in your child's academic career as we focus on organization and increasing amounts of work outside the classroom. It will be a new and exciting challenge for your child, and you, to experience new things and new responsibilities.

We believe the 6th grade year is a major building block in a strong educational and religious foundation. As the year progresses, we expect your child to grow spiritually and academically. It is truly a challenging year for the students, teachers, and parents. We all must work together to ensure the best spiritual and academic experience possible for your student. We look forward to educating your child in a challenging atmosphere based on strong Catholic principles and values.

Please don't hesitate to email me with any concerns or questions at gtracey@setonschool.com. I will get back to you as soon as possible.
