Welcome parents and students! I'm Sheila Moreno and I teach 7^th and 8^th grade English. Our English classes are active, challenging and fun! We'll learn grammar through diagramming. (Don't be afraid! Trust me; by second quarter, students are begging to go to the board to demonstrate their work.)

We'll also do some fun and serious writing through essays, stories and scripts. Journalism writing is practiced in the one quarter, TV Studio (SNN), enrichment class. A couple times a month we learn to think on our feet by doing improvisation games and skits. The Optimist Speech Contest is an optional, extra credit opportunity for 8^th graders in February and March.
