Mrs. Kelly's Second Grade

What would YOU plan for your students if you were the second grade teacher?  Mrs. Kelly's second graders had a chance to think and write about that recently!   Maybe some great, new teachers will come out of this writing assignment!  We hope you enjoy their creative ideas.

If I Were the Teacher

If I was the second grade teacher, I would have a guitar in my class!  I would let them play Avril.  For science we would learn about the history of ACDC.  For math we would add guitar notes.  I would do all the stuff other teachers would do too.  We would act like punks all day.

If I was the second grade teacher, I would do music.  My students would go home at 8:30.  My students would play.  My students would eat.  My students would go to gym.  My students would go to library.

If I was the second grade teacher, we will have math six times.  The students will work and have recess two times.  We will have p.e.  We will have lots of fun.  We will learn everything.  I will say Boo and they will run and say Boo!  Lunch will be at 12:00 p.m.

If I was the second grade teacher, I would let my students play Sparkle a lot.  I would let my class do a play.  I would let me class do math all day.  It would be fun.  I would let my class play for a minute.  It would be fun.

If I was the second grade teacher, I would have my students to centers.  I would read Ramona the Brave to my students.  I would have a piano in my classroom.  I would let my students play Sparkle three times.  I would do math six times a day.  I would have a class pet.

If I was the second grade teacher, I would tell my class to color a picture of Mary.  And if they be nice to me I would let them play Heads Up 7UP.  After lunch I would read Ramona the Brave.  Also we would listen to a story on tape.  We would make paper ghosts.  And then I would give them time to play on the computers.

If I was the second grade teacher, I would make my students work on math.  I would play Sparkle a lot.  I would read to my class.  I would let them have some free time.  I would make them get out their practice books.  I would let them go to gym if it was gym time.

If I was the second grade teacher, I would let my students read a book.  I would let my students play Sparkle.  I would let my student play games.  I would let them have a free recess at the end of the day.  My students would love science.  It would be one of their favorite subjects.  My students would love to play soccer in gym.

If I was the second grade teacher, I would let my class have a pizza party.  I would let them have an ice cream party.  If they were good the whole day, I would give all of them a little present.  In the morning I would let them play on the computer one at a time.  We would do math.  We would do religion too.  I would let them have joke time.

If I was the second grade teacher, I bet I would have 16 kids in my class.  I bet their names would be: Nate, Nichole, Austin, Maddie, Maggie.  Boy, they'd be a bunch!  I would have a Smartboard.  I would have church on Thursdays.  We would have math time tests.  I would make it easy!

If I was the second grade teacher, I would teach my students all about camping.  I would teach my students all about dinosaurs.  We would have S'mores on our camping day.  One Dinosaur day I would play dinosaur games on the computers.  I would let my students play on the computer.
