Curriculum Clips

A few reminders about some of our subject areas this year:


Math - at this time students should continue to brush-up on addition and subtraction facts (through 18) -  Please start to learn multiplication facts ( up to the 9's family)  Division facts will come later in the year.

Spelling- students will bring home a list for the week on Monday- spelling tests are given every Friday

Vocabulary - lists will be sent home for each unit - I will try to put the approximate date that we will be starting each story - students should know how to pronounce each word and know at least one meaning for each word - I will reinforce the vocabulary during class and discuss the various meanings

ALL SUBJECTS - when possible I will send home review sheets before a test - these will have the main concepts that are covered in each chapter - please use these when you are reviewing with your child.
