Homework is given to instill good work and study habits and promote student responsibility.

Third grade homework includes:

1. Review weekly spelling list.
2. Practice math facts.
3. Read for 15 minutes.
4. Any incomplete work needs to be finished at home and returned the next day.
5. Study and prepare for tests.
6. Occasional special projects.
7. If your child is absent from school, the work that was missed must be completed.

Homework time should not generally exceed 30 minutes per night.
