SOS

Watch for semester SOS notices coming home in the student's book bag. Insert them into the family folder. Please read and review often.

4th Quarter

School Responsibilities:

1. For 10 minutes each day, the student will work quietly.

2. Practice the "5" good listening skills daily: Eyes on speaker, lips closed, ears listening, sit up straight, hands and feet to oneself

 

Home Responsibilities:

1. Practice personal information (full name: James Student, address: 1234 Park Place Lane, Moline, Illinois, phone number: 309-123-1234, birth date: September 23, 2012)

2. Practice tying shoelaces.

3. Practice rote counting and identification of numbers.

3. Practice math facts of addition and subtraction 0-5.

3. Practice prayers nightly. (Sign of the Cross, Our Father, Hail Mary)

 

3rd Quarter

School Responsibilities:

1. For 10 to 15 minutes each day, the child independently engages in developmentally appropriate activities.

2. Refrains from disturbing the activities of others during independent center time.

 

Parental Responsibilities:

1. Practice self help skills (tying, zipping, buttoning)

2. Practice personal information (full name, address, phone number, birth date)

3. Refrains from disturbing parents while they are on the phone or talking with another adult or sibling.

 

2nd Quarter

School Responsibilities:

1. Practice for remembering your personal belongings (folders, hats mittens, book bags).

2. Practice reading weekly phonic books.

3. Practice upper and lower case letters.

4. Practice numbers 1-20.

 

Parental Responsibilities:

1. Mark all children's clothing (coats, hats, mittens, book bags, lunch bags).

2. Encourage your child to practice kindergarten skills.

3. Encourage the reading of environmental words.

4. Encourage your child to be responsible for taking care of personal belongings at home.

5. Practice personal information with your child: address, phone number and birth date

 

1st Quarter

Student Responsibilities are:

Clean up after yourself at school:

1. Put crayons in box.

2. Put pencils in box.

3. Put glue sticks in box.

 

Clean up after yourself at home:

1. Make bed.

2. Put clothes away.

3. Put toys in their home.

 

Look at your teacher when she is talking:

"1, 2, 3, All eyes on me!"

 

Look at your parents when they are talking.
