Scouting for Food

On March 22nd, twenty-five cub scouts and many parents and leaders from Pack 109 and Troop 109 participated in the Scouting for Food Drive.  This is the annual event where scouts from all over go to their neighborhoods and collect food for local food pantries.  Pack/Troop 109 collected more than 1600 items of food.  We hope that the food will help nourish those in need.  Thanks to all who participated!!

We are proud to announce that Cub Scout Pack 109 serving Seton Catholic School, Lincoln-Irving School, and Garfield School has earned the Centennial Quality Unit Award for 2007!  Additionally, we are proud that we are part of the Saukenuk District and Illowa Council, both also achieving quality awards for 2007.

Upcoming Events!!

April Pack Meeting

Monday, April 28th, 2008:  On Monday, April 28th, we will have our pack meeting at Blackhawk State Historic Site.  We will be meeting near and in Singing Bird Lodge.  The theme for this month is Abracadabra!  Come prepared to be amazed or maybe to amaze others.  Much of our meeting will be outside, so keep a close eye on the weather.  We will meet at Blackhawk rain or shine.

Join Hands Day

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008:  This is our second year of participating in Join Hands Day.  This event in meant to help bring youth and adults together to work on service projects to help the community.  Last year we worked to improve the landscaping at Seton Catholic School, our chartered organization.  This year we are going to work on projects at Blackhawk State Historic Site.  We have utilized their facilities greatly over the years.  This is a good opportunity to give back.  They have several projects that we will be helping with.  Look to your Den Leaders and Cubmaster for details about this great event!
