Mrs. Layer's Class

Welcome to 4L! I'm excited about the year. I know the year is going to be a busy one and I know it's going to fly by. I want to welcome you and your child to fourth grade. I look forward to working together to ensure that your child has a successful and favorable year. I believe all children can learn, yet they all learn different. I feel it's my job to find out how and meet each one's needs. I set high expectations because I believe children will meet the expectations you set for them. My goal this year is to develop in the children a love for learning and develop high self esteem and confidence. I believe this will lead to success.

Fourth grade offers many exciting and new opportunities. Fourth grade is certainly a transition year for your child and I want the transition to be as pleasant as possible. Please watch for newsletters/notes explaining things that are happening in our classroom. Please encourage nightly reading and reinforce the study skills that they will be learning at school. I'm looking forward to a fantastic and rewarding year. Thank you for sharing your sons and daughters with me.
