Parent's Club & Booster Club September Minutes

1. Roll Call of Officers

2. Officer Reports

Pres – None

Sec – None

Trea – Matt Phares highlighted our budget and our major items – Christmas Wreath sales and concessions.

3. Committee Reports

A.  John Deere Classic Parking – Steve Polito reported that we had 64 volunteers work the tournament.  We do not have final numbers on how much we earned.

B.  Golf Tournament – Jeff Zmuda reported that the tournament in Monday 9-17-07.  We have roughly 64 golfers signed up so far and we have many hold sponsors. 

C.  Christmas Wreath Sale – Chairman Tim Adam was absent but Steve Polito reported that the sale will be from 10-4-07 to 10-26-07.  Pickup of wreaths will be 11-16-07 and 11-17-07. There will be both individual and class room incentives.  Our goal is $55,000 in sales.

D.  Trivia Night – Scott Ronnebeck reported that we are still looking for a date for this years trivia night as there was a conflict with the original date picked.

4. Report from Athletic Director

Volleyball, tennis and cross country are going on right now.  Numbers for volleyball are down this year but numbers for tennis are up.

Basketball will be starting soon and they are still looking for coaches.  All coaches must be virtus trained.  There will be a coaches meeting on 9-27-07 and they will have signups for practice times.  Students need to have physicals and permission slips signed so they can participate.

5. New Business

A.  Concession Stand Operations – Jane Barrett did not want to make any comments on the concession operations at this time.

B.  Volunteers for Standing Committees are needed and a signup sheet was passed around.

The first meeting was a joint meeting with Parents Club and the booster club covered an abbreviated agenda.
