Sixth Grade Classrooms

Welcome to 6A

Hello! My name is Megan Ahlgren and I teach the subjects of Science and Social Studies. This is a learning and fun filled year for 6th Graders. In Social Studies, we study Ancient Civilizations. Top favorites from my previous years of teaching are the civilizations of Rome, Greece, and Egypt. (Just to name a few) Another exciting part of 6th Grade Social Studies is our geography unit. It is so interesting to learn about our world and its history that comes with it.

Science is equally as exciting as Social Studies. Concepts studied include weather, cells, oceans, invertebrates, etc. The students look forward to our invertebrate chapter because that brings our earthworm dissection. We also have new "ENGINO KITS" this year to promote STEM education.

I feel very lucky to teach 6th Grade Science and Social Studies. I absolutely love my profession and the students whom I work with every day. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions throughout the year.

Welcome to 6T!

We expect this year to be fun and profitable for all. Sixth grade is a big year in your child's academic career as we focus on organization and increasing amounts of work outside the classroom. It will be a new and exciting challenge for your child, and you, to experience new things and new responsibilities.

We believe the 6th grade year is a major building block in a strong educational and religious foundation. As the year progresses, we expect your child to grow spiritually and academically. It is truly a challenging year for the students, teachers, and parents. We all must work together to ensure the best spiritual and academic experience possible for your student. We look forward to educating your child in a challenging atmosphere based on strong Catholic principles and values.

Please don't hesitate to email me with any concerns or questions at I will get back to you as soon as possible.
