PRIDE Program

P.R.I.D.E. stands for People, Respect, Involvement, Dedication, and Excellence.

PRIDE Recipients

Our mission at Seton is to prepare our students for lives as productive Catholic adults. Our goals include the development of Christian values and attitudes, giving each student the necessary encouragement to attain individual goals, and to provide an environment in which personal achievement and success are attainable. The P.R.I.D.E. Program serves to help students set personal goals in line with Christian values and provide a sense of accomplishment and pride in achieving those goals.

Following Report Card Day at the end of each quarter, students may begin applying for their letters by completing a P.R.I.D.E. Application Form and turning it in to their homeroom teacher no later than two weeks after Report Card Day.

Students who turn their application in on time and properly filled out will receive a WWYW pass for each letter successfully earned. Students who earn all five P.R.I.D.E. letters in a given quarter will earn a week of WWYW passes and have their names posted on a hallway bulletin board, the Seton News & Events web page, and listed in their church bulletin. Students who earn all five P.R.I.D.E. letters in more than one quarter will receive special acknowledgement at the end of the school year. Every student will have the opportunity to apply for P.R.I.D.E. letters once each quarter. P.R.I.D.E. applications will be filled out before report cards are issued in the fourth quarter only.

How to earn letters and what they stand for:

P - People - one hour of community service (8th graders only need to do the additional service hour in the 4th quarter)

R - Respect - no office referrals or teacher-imposed consequences for misbehavior for an entire quarter
