Physical Education Program

The Physical Education program at Seton Catholic School is an instructional program that helps students achieve optimum growth and development through psychomotor, cognitive, and effective learning domains. Skill development, social development, positive self-concept, personal values, physical fitness, and recreational activities are all a part of the overall program. Grading of Physical Education is based on sportsmanship, behavior, participation and skill tests.

Rules

1. Be respectful at all times.
2. Be prepared for class. (1-3 grades: tennis shoes, 4-8 grades: tennis shoes & gym clothes)
3. Appropriate behavior and language is expected.
4. Raise your hand when you wish to speak.
5. Good sportsmanship is expected.

Consequences

1. Warning
2. No class participation
3. Send to office (Physical Education grade will be affected.)

Please note:

In case of an injury or illness a note from your doctor is required for students to be excused from class and readmitted to class.

On "Wear What You Want Days" students must have appropriate P.E. clothes.

In 4th grade, a student that fails to bring P.E. clothes will receive one 'no dress' mark, sit out, and receive a pink late slip. Three 'no dress' marks per grading period and the student will lose one letter grade.

In 5th grade, a student that fails to bring P.E. clothes will receive one 'no dress' mark, sit out, receive pink late slip and lose 2:30 free time on Friday. Three 'no dress' marks per grading period and the student will lose one letter grade.

In grades 6th, 7th, and 8th, a student that fails to bring P.E. clothes will receive one 'no dress' mark, sit out, and receive a late slip. Three 'no dress' marks per grading period and the student will lose one letter grade.
