Commission on Education

Seton Catholic School Commission on Education is an advisory body responsible for formulating policies governing the operations of Seton Catholic School. The Commission does not have the power to enact policy, nor does the Commission have the power or authority to act on behalf of Seton Catholic School or the parishes of Sacred Heart, St. Mary's, Christ the King or to bind the Parishes or the school to any actions. The Commission can make recommendations to be considered and enacted by the Pastors' Board. Commission meetings are open to the public. Persons or groups who wish to address the Commission on Education must notify the principal at least 7 days prior to the meeting.

Voting members of the School Commission shall consist of nine lay persons. All votes are votes to recommend to the Board of Pastors who alone have the authority to enact policy. Ex-officio, non-voting members shall be the Bishop(s), Office of Catholic Education, the Board of Pastors, the Vicar General, the school principals, and a representative from Parents' and Booster Clubs. Commission meetings are usually held the first Monday of each month, 7:00 p.m. Culemans Hall.
